Karin Lucia Gisler is a qualified youth worker and counsellor with over a decade of experience working with young people and parents. Her goal: guiding young people and parents through the adolescent years with educational, empowering, and uplifting programs, and thoughtful mentorship.
Inspired by the belief “be the change you want to see” and the understanding that “it takes a village to raise a child,” this is Karin's way to contribute to her community. She believes that one of the most powerful ways to challenge patriarchy is by raising girls and young women who know their worth.
Here are a few ways you can work with Karin:
Tailored Group Programs This is about offering facilitated coming-of-age experiences for girls and their parents, combining education, connection, and meaningful rituals to support the transition into adolescence. It outlines a structured program (one-off or multi-week) where families or groups can explore topics like puberty, the menstrual cycle, and emotional wellbeing in a guided, supportive setting
School Programs This is about delivering engaging, age-appropriate school programs that support students through puberty and adolescence with education, practical tools, and open conversations. It focuses on building confidence, emotional wellbeing, and healthy relationships while helping young people understand and navigate the changes they’re experiencing.
Coming of Age Circles for Girls This is a 6-week coming-of-age program for 10–12-year-old girls, designed to gently prepare them for adolescence by helping them understand puberty, their bodies, and their emotions. Drawing on over a decade of experience, it offers a supportive space for connection, confidence-building, and guided exploration of this important life stage. This program includes parent evenings.
1:1 Parenting Sessions This is about offering personalised 1:1 parenting sessions to help parents of tweens and teens navigate challenges, strengthen connection, and improve communication. It provides practical guidance and insight into adolescent development, supporting parents to build more confident, balanced, and effective parenting approaches.
Period Savvy Dads (self-paced online course) This is about a self-paced online course that helps fathers understand puberty and the menstrual cycle so they can confidently and supportively show up for their daughters. It’s designed to build knowledge, empathy, and communication, fostering stronger father–daughter relationships and a more period-positive home environment.
